This Thorens turntable is equipped with a heavier platter, a luxury tonearm with a pre-mounted Ortofon cartridge. The dust cover is included as standard.

Thorens TD 403 DD: ‘Plug-and-Play’ of top quality
The Thorens TD 403 DD comes complete and functions as a ‘Plug-and-Play’ turntable like most other Thorens models. Setting it up is extremely easy, while the Thorens designers have done everything to bring out the beauty of the music from the grooves of the vinyl.
The Direct Drive system with precision motor, a completely new designed tonearm, and an extra massive platter of 22 mm thickness and 1.4 kg weight work perfectly together. The audiophile tonearm (TP150) is height adjustable and also features adjustable azimuth. Everything for perfect vinyl playback.
But there are more smart innovations that make the Thorens TD 403 DD excel in analogue playback. The anti-skating is built up using a thin wire that runs from the tonearm through a ruby bearing to the internal counterweight. Improved operation without friction.
The headshell (removable) is already equipped by Thorens with the popular Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge with a nude elliptical stylus, and to keep the reproduction as pure as possible, features like an internal phono preamp and automatic shut-off are omitted. A 24 V DC power supply and a high-quality rubber mat are also included as standard with the TD 403 DD.
