The van den Hul The Bay C5 RCA audio cable offers excellent transmission qualities, low conductor capacity. Very high shielding and high mechanical flexibility and durability.

This cable features double unique carbon technology, defended by van den Hul in their Linear Structured Carbon ® (LSC) hybrid configuration.

It is a coaxial construction consisting of forty strands of 0.12 mm with a dense silver coating of LSC carbon. Insulated with polyethylene, often found in the more expensive cables of Van den Hul. These layers improve transparency and visible imaging. By electrically bridging any metal crystal defects, stable conductivity at the lowest signal levels is achieved.

High-grade silver-plated copper – The coaxial construction is made with a center conductor consisting of 40 x 0.12 mm advanced copper strength with dense silver coating.
With an effective cross-section of 0.452 mm² (AWG 20.6) and a resistance of 3.8 Ohm /100 meters.
Hybrid design – An additional layer of Linear Structured Carbon (LSC) is applied between the center conductor and the PE foam insulation by electrically bridging and absorbing radiated energy.

The dense polyethylene foam insulation between the core and the shield prevents the ingress of contaminated air into the cable.

Around the PE insulation, an additional layer of LSC ensures a significant improvement in signal quality by absorbing radiated energy from the shield to the core. The cable capacity is 110 pF/m.
The double shield is made of a braided weave of 16 x 6 x 0.12 mm under a combined Linear Structured Carbon ® layer to further shield the cable against RF signals. The total resistance of the shield is 1.6 Ohm/100 meters.
The outer 5.2 mm diameter sheath is made of red-colored HULLIFLEX ®, a PVC and halogen-free material. This sheath examined for improved flexibility, better protection against chemical contaminants, and improved sound quality. HULLIFLEX ® ensures the BAY C5 HYBRID has a very long lifespan without aging effects.
24-carat gold-plated connectors – made of solid copper with silver and 24-carat gold-coated center pin and grounding rings.
