The Pro-Ject RPM 3 Carbon is a manually operated belt-driven turntable with a beautifully designed and resonance-damping plinth. The turntable features a completely redesigned ‘inverted main bearing’. This CNC precision-manufactured bearing has a ceramic ball that further reduces rumble values.
The platter is driven by a powerful and extremely precise 15V AC motor. Pro-Ject provides an external DC power supply which helps reduce the turntable’s susceptibility to magnetic stray fields. Thanks to the stable power supply, optimal motor synchronization is ensured.
Hybrid 10-inch S-shaped tonearm
For the RPM 3 Carbon, Pro-Ject has developed an S-shaped tonearm with an effective length of 10 inches. The tonearm is constructed with a rigid carbon shell, while the internal aluminum tube, combined with special resin, provides optimal damping of the tonearm.
This hybrid sandwich design makes this tonearm ideal for high-quality Moving Coil cartridges. The tonearm features a new magnetic anti-skating mechanism and a TPE-damped counterweight.
Complete package
The Pro-Ject RPM 3 Carbon comes with a high-quality Ortofon 2M Silver cartridge. To transfer the maximum sound quality from the vinyl to the amplifier, the turntable is supplied with a perfectly shielded low-capacitive Pro-Ject Connect it E phono cable.
